What is this?
The BlackBerry PlayBook is a tablet computer announced by Research In Motion (RIM), the Canadian telecommunications company best known for the BlackBerry smartphone, on September 27, 2010. The PlayBook is only 9.7 mm thick, which means it is the first tablet less than 10 mm. The company expects to deliver the machine to enterprise customers and developers in October, and release it to consumers in early 2011. Also announced was a new operating system, the BlackBerry Tablet OS, based on QNX Neutrino, to run on the tablet.
